In a business where on-time delivery of perishable products is key, Dunkin’ Donuts was challenged to improve fleet utilization and overcome delivery delays caused by weather and breakdowns in nine eastern US states. With TMW Systems’ TMS and Appian software solutions, the company assigns routes; tracks arrivals, layovers, wait times. Real-time and automated route scheduling is in place. Drivers carry and use GPS-enabled phones to pinpoint location, have fast access to managers and to summon help in emergencies.
